Montane's Alpine Stretch gloves are extremely warm and feature a long cuff which extends back over the wrist which can be cinched in with a one-handed cordlock to trap the warm air inside the glove. There's also an elasticated and strap adjustment at the wrist.
Primaloft is one of the most efficient insulation materials available and the Alpine Stretch gloves use it on the back of the hand. The palm side inner is lined with high volume pile for comfort and warmth.
The Alpine Stretch gloves also incorporate leather palms and fingers will help with durability and they certainly feel positive when gripping things - such as trekking poles. Feature-wise they have a nose-wipe and rolled finger ends for added comfort. Rolled finger ends means there are no seams at the end of the fingers which can be uncomfortable.
Although not fully waterproof the Alpine Stretch gloves will deal with some pretty extreme conditions - they're quite heavy compared to other gloves but this reflects the extended length and insulation value.
