With even more cushioning for a great nights sleep, the Inertia XL is light and comfortable. A great piece of kit for the weight conscious who still want a little bit of luxury.
The lightest, most packable oversized air pad available. Weighing in at just over one pound, the Inertia XL™ is extra wide and extra long for those who value comfort, but still packs down to the size of a soda can. Utilizing our V-Chamber technology, the Inertia XL™ includes a customizable pressure valve with hand-pump, and also features ultra-durable fabric for rugged use.
Klymit's Inertia XL Inflatable Sleeping Mat is not only built for bigger people but offers a lot more support and comfort than the standard X Frame mat. The penalty is, of course, added weight but it's still one of the lightest oversized mats around.
The Klymit design provides extra cushioning down each side of the mat making it easier to stay on the mat during the night an adding comfort. The main design feature of the Inertia is the loft pockets, or gaps where it allows your sleeping bag to loft and saves weight. This design isn't for everyone and it does reduce the r-value of the mat significantly but it is still amazingly comfortable.
It is really easy to inflate, comes with a hand pump and repair kit making it a great companion for multi day adventures.

|Help and advice:
From 2020, there is a new industry standard for measuring the R-value (level of insulation) of sleeping mats – ASTM F3340-18. This new standard is the sleeping mat equivalent to the EN rating for sleeping bags.
You can now directly compare the R-value of mats rated using the ASTM F3340-18 with confidence that is a fair and accurate comparison between mats. In simple terms, the higher the R-value, the warmer the mat.
In general terms, an R-value below 2.0 is for summer use, 2.0 to 4.0 is for cooler 3 season use and 4.0+ is for winter temperatures. This will be also be dependent on your sleeping bag, how cold you sleep etc. Please contact our customer service team if you need advice on choosing the right mat for your activity.
