The Exped Travel Hammock is lightweight, compact and affordable hammock designed to fit one person, allowing them to hang out while travelling or relaxing around camp.
Integrated packsack doubles as pocket for a water bottle, glasses, book or e-reader. Durable quadruple stitching. Fitted with smart slit line ring at the ends to be hung up on a regular line, special Slit Lines or Hammock Suspension Kit (not included). When using an Exped Hammock Suspension Kit or the Exped Slit Lines just run the line through the end loops of the hammock, then insert the knot into one or more slits. Hammock can also be used as sun shade or beach mat.
This new 2017 edition is slightly lighter than the 2016 edition because of use of a polyester instead of a polypropylene slit line ring.
Exped's Travel Hammock has a good pack size and is pretty light for a hammock at just over 300 grams. The price tag is also appealing with an RRP of only £34,99, is makes it one of our most affordable hammocks.
We like that the pack sack is integrated so you can't loose it, but it also acts as a pocket for holding gear which is also pretty useful. It's also quite versatile as it can be used as a sun shade or beach towel on your travels.
It's important to note that it doesn't come with a Suspension Kit or anything to hang it up so you will need to buy that separately which will of course add a little weight to the overall weight.
