The NeoAir All Season SV mats are exceptionally compact, light and rugged four-season mattress with ultra-fast inflation/deflation.

Thermarest says: Our cult favourite, four season, go-anywhere air mattress just got better. Now sporting the game-changing SpeedValve™, our rugged All Season inflates up to three times faster and deflates instantly. Multiple layers of ThermaCapture™ technology make it one of our warmest and most versatile NeoAir mattresses. We also added a Regular Wide size to maximize sleep surface without adding length. Stuff sack and repair kit included.

NeoAir™ Mattresses

In this patent-pending application, we vary the location and number of ThermaCapture layers within each NeoAir mattress to meet specific warmth targets. Combined with Triangular Core Matrix construction, a single ThermaCapture layer can boost warmth by up to 50% and creates the unmatched warmth-to-weight ratios offered by a NeoAir mattress

ThermaCapture Radiant Heat Technology is a proprietary reflective coating that we apply to a range of surfaces. By reflecting radiant heat back to your body that is otherwise lost, this extremely lightweight coating turns that surface into a very efficient heat reflector, amplifying warmth without the excess weight or bulk of added, conventional insulating materials.

There are a range of models of Thermarest's NeoAir mats available, and each one is available in a range of sizes. They are all very light insulated airbeds, so they are very comfortable compared to other types of mat and they have very small pack sizes. Which model is the right one for you will depend on the level of comfort, durability, insulation value, weight and amount you want to pay.

Even the NeoAir models that offer the least insulation are warm enough for three season use, although a warmer mat means a lighter sleeping bag can be used. The All Season mats are among the warmest so you could use them all the year round, although there are better ones for camping on snow.

The 'All Season' models are rectangular, which gives you more mat to move around on, and they have durable face fabrics with greater puncture resistance and better long term durability than the super light mats such as the Xlite.

The 'All Season' models now feature the integrated SpeedValve which is a remarkable way of inflating your mat with negligible effort - watch the video - you'll be amazed.

In summary the NeoAir All Season mats are mid range in terms of their weight, but for that you get supreme comfort, robust face fabrics, a high insulation value and effortless inflation.

Unbelievably Good!

Let’s cut to the chase.... this mattress inflates in 30 seconds with about 10 puffs of air. It also deflates instantly when the valve is unbuckled with your sleeping bag or quilt on top to push the air out. The new valve technology whilst being very simple is almost ‘magically’ efficient! It is made of around 60 denier fabric making it hopefully, quite resilient to use and packs relatively small for a mat of this standard. It is incredibly comfortable and offers the same level of comfort as Thermarest’s standard Xlite and Xtherm . However, it is closer to the XTherm in terms of thermal insulation and has a square bottom making it perfect for use with quilts such as the Apogee or Corus. This suits me as a cold sleeper and as someone who can feel restricted in ultralight mummy bags. Where it scores ahead of the competition is the incredible speed which it inflates and the speed of deflation. Although the lightest mats certainly weigh half of this one, there is no inconvenience or penalty of having to blow it up after a hard days waking and then having to slowly force air out on the morning when packing away - which takes time and can be laborious. There are concerns about deflation on the Internet - but I feel comfortable that this series of mat does not deflate when in use. In my opinion this is due to wrapping the valve downwards and under rather than upwards and rolling over or not folding the recommended 7 times and users not checking that the standard valve is really tight. It has not deflated on me in overnight testing. Comfort and sheer convenience make this a fantastic and highly recommended piece of kit. Not losing patience and being able to use kit quickly and simply is just as important as the weight and enables the user to be as fast and efficient as possible - thereby maximising their time, energy and enjoyment of being outside.

Tested on the moors

Took this up on Dartmoor recently for a first test .
Super lightweight, easy to inflate and very very comfortable.... no complaints so far , lets see how tough and rugged it can be .
