RAB's Womens Andes 800 sleeping bag benefits from RAB's technical improvements and hydrophobic down, and has a full range of features.
RAB says:
The Andes series are a range of down sleeping bags filled with 800 fill power European goose down.
The Andes series bags offer comparable levels of warmth to the Expedition bags but in a more performance orientated shape. The mummy shape saves weight and adds warmth due to the lower internal volume of the bag that needs to be heated.
The Andes bags feature a water resistant outer fabric that offers extra protection and piece of mind on cold, damp belays. Ideal for use at altitude or on exposed belays when maximum warmth to weigh and small pack size are required.

RAB have been making sleeping bags for over thirty years so they know a thing or two about how to put one together. In cooperation with Leeds University they have focused on developing their warmth to weight ratios by perfecting the down volume/chamber size ratio to maximise loft and minimise fabric use, resulting in a lighter bag with no compromise on performance. There are also slight changes to the cut of the bags to support the air chamber room developments that they have been doing.
All their down bags are now filled with Hydrophobic down which improves their performance in adverse damp conditions, this is especially significant if you want to use a bag night after night without the opportunity to air it off - under these conditions the down can be compromised by body moisture passing through it. Furthermore the Hydrophobic treatment neither adds weight nor impairs loft.
All the down is certified as responsibly sourced by the European Down and Feather Association.
All this adds up to a pretty impressive product. RAB's Womens Andes 800 bag in particular is suited to extreme conditions at temperatures down to -22C.

What is the 'RAB Sleep Limit'? - The recognised method of testing sleeping bags is by using the standard EN13537 temperature ratings, which are carried out by independent testing houses. The test is performed with the sleeping bag resting on an insulating mat to simulate the bag in use. The same sleeping mat is used for all testing of all sleeping bags.
RAB's view is that the sleeping mat used is inappropriate for bags designed for very low temperatures because a user would be sleeping on a highly insulative winter orientated sleeping mat, not the standard one used in the test. The test results would therefore indicate a lower performance for the sleeping bag than a user would experience in a typical situation.
RAB have therefore defined their own 'RAB Sleep Limit' as the equivalent 'Comfort limit' but based on their athletes experience and extrapolating results from other bags.
