Nemo's updated Siren down quilt combines ultralight fabrics with 255grams of high quality down to create a backless sleeping system with generous sides and some neat design features. With a redesigned baffle and reduced pack size this is a welcome update.
The popular Siren™ has been updated with a vertical baffle structure, lighter weight and smaller pack size. This 45°F backless quilt is ideal for ultralight treks where weight and versatility matter; it takes away everything extra without taking away the promise of a warm and draft-free night's sleep. Constructed using the highest end fabrics and premium 850 fill power down, Siren™ is one of the lightest quilt-style bags on the market.
The backless design shaves weight, and the stretch footbox anchors around pad and keeps it securely in place. A cord system lashes around the underside of the pad to accommodate a variety of pad sizes.

Nemo specialise in sleeping gear that's well-designed, tried and tested. The Siren Down Quilt is a good case in point - its a backless quilt that attaches to your sleeping pad and is kept in place using and ultralight cord system under the mat. The difference is that even though they are trying to make the bag as light as possible they have also made it quite big. With an update in the baffle design, moving from stitched squares to vertical baffles to reduce the bulk and therefore the pack size.
It also has a really generous footbox and a press stud fixing at shoulder level to assist with keeping things tight. On most nights though, being a quilt, you can sleep much as you do at home with the luxury of a loose covering.
Using ultralight-weight fabrics the weight of the bag compared to others with 285grams of down inside is among the lowest and the rating of the Siren is accurate too. So, If you're looking for a quilt sleeping solution but still need it to be ultralight the Siren could be a good choice, it will fit any full length mat and remember to add comfort with a mat sheet!
