The Neutrino range comprises lightweight, minimalist down-filled sleeping bags. Refined to maximum warmth without increasing weight, the updated design has chevron shaped baffles to ensure the down is held over the centre of the body and prevents down migration while the trapezoidal chambers eliminate cold spots.
Perfect for summer trekking and warm multiday trips, the Neutrino 200 is hand filled in Derbyshire and contains the highest quality 800FP ethically sourced European Goose Down. It is made using the lightweight, yet durable Pertex® Quantum - this allows the bag to have an impressively small pack size but quickly loft for instant warmth. The ‘mummy taper’ shape and angled footbox keep overall weight low without compromising on warmth or comfort and still allow for movement. A women's specific fit ensures optimum performance and ultimate warmth for the female form.
The Neutrino 200 has an ergonomically designed, close-fitting internal collar with a hood drawcord, as well as a 1/2 length YKK anti-snag zip with an insulating draft tube to keep out the cold. Other features include a handy internal stash pocket, dry bag compression stuff sack for transport and cotton sack for storage.

Rab's Neutrino Down Sleeping Bags have seen an update for 2019, refining the fabric, design and features to create warmer, yet lighter sleeping bags with an innovative new chamber design allowing more efficient usage of down.
The baffles are now made in a chevron shape which acts to funnel the down to it's correct position as you shake the bag out prior to climbing in. This has also allowed Rab to put one less baffle line into the construction of the bags - saving 10grams of weight. There has also been an obsessive focus on the down chambers themselves, ensuring the chamber size is matched to the down volume to achieve the most efficient loft and therefore insulating value.
RAB Neutrino versus Neutrino Pro - Rab produces two identical series of bags, the Neutrino and Neutrino Pro. The Pro bags have a Pertex Quantum Pro fabric outer shell which has a high water resistance making it more suited to damp conditions, such as bivying or tarp camping. The standard Neutrino bags use Pertex Quantum fabric for the outer which whilst it doesn't have the water resistance of Quantum Pro it is more breathable - making the bag arguably more comfortable.
What we say is that if you are going to be using a tent all the time then there's no reason to go for the Quantum Pro bags - but if you are camping where damp may be a problem - such as under a tarp - then the Quantum Pro bag is more appropriate.

What is the 'RAB Sleep Limit'? - The recognised method of testing sleeping bags is by using the standard EN13537 temperature ratings, which are carried out by independent testing houses. The test is performed with the sleeping bag resting on an insulating mat to simulate the bag in use. The same sleeping mat is used for all testing of all sleeping bags.
RAB's view is that the sleeping mat used is inappropriate for bags designed for very low temperatures because a user would be sleeping on a highly insulative winter orientated sleeping mat, not the standard one used in the test. The test results would therefore indicate a lower performance for the sleeping bag than a user would experience in a typical situation.
RAB have therefore defined their own 'RAB Sleep Limit' as the equivalent 'Comfort limit' but based on their athletes experience and extrapolating results from other bags.
