Mountain Hardwear have based the Ghost Whisperer Bag on their amazingly successful jackets. The combination of lightweight, high quality materials and fantastic performance for winter level warmth and pack size have always been a winner for outdoor enthusiasts.
Mountain Hardwear says:
The new Ghost Whisperer™ Sleeping Bags share the same unbelievably light yet full featured approach as our best-selling jackets of the same name. Every gram is accounted for — from the premium 900-fill Q.Shield™ DOWN to the 7x10D ripstop fabric — to deliver an ultralight mountaineering and backpacking bag with an outstanding warmth to weight ratio and remarkable compressibility.
Mountain Hardwear's Ghost Whisperer 20F/-7C Down Sleeping Bag has focused on providing the best warmth to weight possible using their super effective Ghost Whisperer Jacket as the building block. With 507g of top quality 900-fill power, hydrophobic down this bag is really warm. The outer fabric is the same lightweight but durable material used on the jackets so you can be sure of the quality and performance level.
This bag still weighs in at an impressively low weight despite having plenty of features to improve comfort and warmth. Improved baffle design around the hood, a draft tube down the anti-snag zip, comfort footbox and one-handed drawcords make this bag more usable rather than simply looking good. It has to be noted that the sides and bottom of the bag have stitch through baffles unlike the top which has box wall baffles. This will most probably affect the performance when conditions are pushed to their limits. This design point hasn't had any impact on my in milder conditions around and just below freezing but it hasn't been used in temperatures closer to the comfort limit for further judgement.
