The Fish Hawk 30 is part of the classic down series of Big Agnes sleeping bags that offer warmth, compressibility and the 'Big Agnes System' which integrates the sleeping bag and sleeping mat.
Big Agnes says:
Down fill Big Agnes System bags designed to excel in all conditions and provide more room than a mummy bag.
Classic down series bags offer warmth, compressibility and the Big Agnes System bag design. Lightweight enough for backpacking, these bags are designed to feel more like the comforter on your own bed. They provide an overall more comfortable and cozier sleeping experience than ever before with a semi-rectangle shape and Insotect Flow™ construction that keeps the insulation next to your body for more efficient heat distribution. These bags are taller across the top so you can roll over more freely while the Free Range hood allows you to move unrestricted while staying hooded. So comfortable you won't want to go home.
Big Agnes's Fish Hawk 30 Down Sleeping Bag is still light enough to take backpacking but is more focused on comfort than just the weight. The stretch fabric designed to contain the sleeping mat improves the connection between bag and mat making for a great nights sleep.
The Downtec hydrophobic treated 850 fill power down repels water and speeds up drying time it if does get wet. The lightweight nylon ripstop fabrics are durable and soft to the touch. Vertical side walls help to trap heat closer to your body and the Tapered vaulted foot box creates wiggle room for your feet. The bag is well proportioned and quite spacious internally. This would suite people who want that extra space or those who move around a lot as this has the added benefit of the Free Range hood.
To use the full pad sleeve a rectangular sleeping mat is needed and the dimensions of the bag need to match. The material does stretch enough to fit a pillow in too to maximise that comfort.
