Mountain Equipment's Earthrise 600 Down Sleeping Bag has tremendous eco credentials with the shell, lining and down all 100% recycled. The bag uses the same construction as the best selling Helium range from Mountain Equipment.

Mountain Equipment says:

Light enough to be carried long distances but with sufficient warmth for early Spring and late Autumn this is a versatile and efficient bag using recycled fabrics and down.

Mountain Equipment use their own 'Good Nights Sleep Guaranteed' rating which they believe is a more accurate number for some sleeping bags and is based not just on the EN test results but on lab testing, their own use, thermal imaging and cold chamber work, along with a lot of data analysis. The figure above is what they consider to be the lowest temperature that you will be comfortable at when using this bag.

Mountain Equipment's Earthrise 600 Down Sleeping Bag has an impressive environmental focus without sacrificing performance. The use of both 100% recycled shell and liner fabrics along with recycled down gives this bag an impressively low impact across a range of environmental standards. With 582g of 650 Fill Power Down in top quality slanted box-wall baffles maximises warmth and provides the -8°C comfort limit rating.

The Earthrise is certainly a fully featured bag with multi-baffle hood and footbox keeping you as warm and comfortable as possible. The full length zip baffle and neck baffle help seal in the heat and prevent draughts from getting in too. The waterproof roll-top stuff sack is a welcome addition to an already great piece of kit. Although this bag isn't the lightest or does it have the smallest packsize, you are getting top quality construction, a full feature set, impressive Eco-credentials in a very good value package.
