The Corus HD Quilt is Thermarest's most technical down quilt. It's extremely lightweight, warm, compressible and comfortable. Built for the backcountry travel.

Thermarest says:

The ultralight Corus™ HD Quilt offers unprecedented comfort wherever you use it. It's ideal for minimalist backcountry travel from spring through early fall, and versatile enough for hut-to-hut traverses and car camping in any season. Made with high loft, packable Nikwax® Hydrophobic Down and ThermaCapture™ seams for retaining heat and excellent temperature regulation, the Corus offers a surprisingly liberating feeling of unrestricted movement throughout the night. It will leave you wondering how you got along without one.

The Corus HD is ideal for those seeking ultralight performance and amazing comfort without a weight penalty. It delivers the most warmth per gram of any Therm-a-Rest quilt or blanket and features 650 fill of Nikwax Hydrophobic down which vastly improves its performance in damp conditions.

The elasticized footbox snaps round the bottom end of your sleeping mat keeping your feet warm and the quilt in place. It also includes snap loops so it can easily be connected to a Thermarest mattress, quilt blanket or sheet allowing you to build a your own sleep system. If your after a little bit of luxury on your next adventure then this quilt would be ideal.

The Corus Quilt has replaced Thermarest's Auriga Quilt. They both have very similar features with a small difference in fill power. As they are very similar, we have attached a few product reviews of the Auriga Quilt. See below.

Blanquilt, not backless sleeping bag...

I have one of these... Your two review referrals suggest very opposing views. I am no convertee as such, using bags and quilts, interchanging whenever the fancy takes me. This Corus quilt though very nearly ticks all the boxes, and if I were to eschew bags ongoing I would be very happy with my T-rest quilt/blanket. Use it with more clothing (a minus 5c rated down jacket and down socks with merino leggings gets me to coldest general UK winter temperatures barring a Scottish minus 15 night in a storm!). Just base layers and it's good to +3 or 4, and used 'open' you won't break out into a sweat till it hits +double figures at night. It truly is far more versatile than just a bag. I have read of the various ways of attaching it to sleep mats - I barely do, and certainly don't slip the toe end elasticated part under the mat, just let my feet and toes spread out under it on top of the mat. I use 2 shock cords under the mat, usually only use the upper body one on very cold nights, and use those tiny accessory 'biners so it unclips in seconds for exit/entry. The popper at neck level allows you to snug it behind the shoulders and the amount of elastication here is perfect, not at all tight, very cozy. I slip another wee shock cord on here and around my pillow to hold it in place. If you really want to use a sheet, this works any way you look at it. The 650 fill power barely notices (if you're used to 900+ as some of us are) and it's stitched-through, but although the Nemo quilt is rated 3 degrees lower and weighs about 100gm less just look at the price difference! This has had a lot of thought put into it and I love it. I use PHD kit mostly, love the loft and warmth, but for versatility, warmth for weight, thoughtful design, COST and sheer yumminess, buy this little beauty.
