The Sea to Summit Aeros Pillow case makes it a doddle to keep your Aeros clean and ready for your next night out in the wild.

Sea to Summit says:

Aeros™ Pillow Cases go over the top of our Aeros™ Pillows for easy washing or for use with spare clothes or a down jacket as a minimalist pillow alternative.

While all our pillows can be machine washed with the valve closed, some of us still prefer a more traditional solution. The Aeros™ Pillow Case can be slipped over our Aeros™ Pillows through the 20cm hidden zip, then quickly and easily removed for washing.

To prevent slippage during the night, the Aeros™ Pillow Case’s base fabric is compatible with the hook-and-loop fastener patches that will come standard with all Sea to Summit Sleeping Mats. Current Aeros™ Pillows can be placed inside the Aeros™ Pillow Case for seamless integration with this new feature.

Sea to Summit have really thought about their sleep system when they've designed the Aeros Pillow Case, they have even made it compatible with their new pillow locking system for their new sleeping mats. It much easier to throw this pillow case in the wash rather than try and clean your aeros pillow itself.

I mean you use a pillow case at home, why not use on out on the trail?

Its simple, you put the un-inflated pillow inside of it, and blow it up. It's much more comfortable against the skin than the bare pillow, and it probably adds some sort of extra warmth factor. It packs down super small. I don't often complain in my many reviews, but this is one product I do genuinely have an issue with, a small one, but one big enough to force me to have to spend more money. It doesn't come with a storage bag? Every other product made by STS in this category comes with a tailor fitting stuff sack, but this doesn't? I tried to see if I could keep it on the Areos and pack it back into the bag that comes with the Areos, but it doesn't fit. I was mad, my backpack organisation OCD couldn't cope. I had to go and buy the £17.99 STS 3 piece stuff sack set just for the smallest one to use to store this pillow case. So, if you're not OCD and don't care if things are not stored in neat little bags, you'll be fine, but if you're like me, then be ready to be bugged. Otherwise, I am happy with it, and it still works with the pillow lock system which works like a treat.

Aeros Pillow Case works

The points in favor of this pillow case are: 1. It converts a pre-2019 Aeros pillow to the pillow-lock system, which attaches to Sea to Summit sleeping pads and keeps the pillow in place! No more chasing your pillow around your tent. 2. It works like a pillow case at home. The case gets grubby on trips. Remove and wash, keeping the actual pillow clean. The points against this pillow case: 1. It adds 1.1 ounces to your pack weight. 2. It's one more piece of gear to fiddle with and keep track of. That being said, so far I like mine. We'll see how the stitching and zipper hold up over time
