DXG bottle pocket.

A pair of these, together with the Granite Gear waist pocket and the Flash pocket fitted to my Lightwave Ultrahike 60 really frees up a lot of space
for food and extra clothing to allow longer trips without resupply. I would agree with the previous contributor that they don't really suit 750cc bottles ( especially those with straws ).

Almost perfect, but room for improvement.

I received the treadlite bottle pocket on Monday after ordering it on saturday(std 2nd class post). I promptly fitted it to my mountain hardwear scrambler 35 rt out dry packs shoulder strap without too much fuss. The only thing I had to do was cut the end of the pack strap as it was tripled over and wouldn't pass through the buckle, but no big deal. You do need a pack with vertical webbing straps on the shoulder harness for this holder to fit, so bear that in mind. I tried several bottles in it including my aqua pure traveller filter bottle, a short 600 ml basics bottle and a tall 750 ml energy drink bottle, all the bottles were full. The two shorter bottles fitted nicely and sat close to the shoulder, they do bounce when running but for walking they sit still. The taller bottle however pulled the top of holder away from the shoulder, and it moved from side to side. This however could easily rectified by the addition of a further elastic strap at the top of the holder across where the clip is and it would hold the bottle closer to the shoulder and make it more stable. This is the reason I've knocked a star off. It is however great value for money, and treadlite gear is quite a young/small company who are still learning and hopefully will listen to customers suggestions. Overall I'm pleased with the product.
