Although lidless is the preferable way to pack for many hikers others prefer the added space and convenience of a lid either regularly or for extended hikes. That’s why we planned our new lidless Blaze AC 60 pack to be ready to accept the LineLoc Lid.

Features include a massive main compartment with a wide zippered opening an internal mesh pocket for keeping small items separate and it converts into a hip-pack.

In our experience lidless packs are fine we sell lots of GoLite and Granite Gear packs of this type - they can be vulnerable to water getting inside especially if they are not full - so you need to ensure the contents are protected. One way to do this for the Blaze AC 60 is to buy this lid - it`ll keep the water out and add a bit extra storage and organisation.

To fit the lid the top straps on the pack slip through shaped holes on the LineLoc Lid and the cord is passed through two holes on the pack frame and tied off - this stops the lid from moving around.

why 5 stars ? for a simple lid

I gave 5 stars as the build quality and how all granite gear is made so well
I own a crown VC 60 mark 1, (even though there is officially no mark 1)
I brought my crown VC in November 2016, and in the spring 17 they brought out the updated mark 2 with lid and pouches/pockets, I love my roll top and how comfortable the set up is, I do not need a lid , but I just like a lid, so while its on offer at £23 this AUG 17, I thought why not, I would happily say their quality control makes Granite gear the Mercedes of Back packs, and yes you pay that price, very simple with robust buckles ,
