The Montane Yupik 65 is a lightweight and fully featured rucksack with an adjustable ZephyrAD ventilation back system, ideal for multi day trekking and hiking.
At only 1.5kg the fully featured Yupik 65 seriously punches above its weight. Although one of the lightest weight 65 litre trekking packs on the market no compromise has been made. This pack boasts fantastic load transfer and carrying comfort from the height adjustable, ventilated ZephyrAD back system, an extendible/removable lid, double lid closure, multiple storage solutions, including the iconic double front zipped mesh pockets and a base compartment. The Yupik 65 allows you to ‘pack more’ but ‘carry less’ making it the perfect partner for unsupported stints in the wilderness.

Montane's Yupik 65 Litre Rucksack replaces the Grand Tour 70. Now you might just expect a few updates considering it's still designed for multi-day trekking but really it's a whole new pack, and a better one at that!
At first we were disappointed to find that it's not a whole lot lighter than the Grand Tour 70 considering it's 5 litres smaller but that fact Montane have changed the materials to a tougher, more durable fabric, added a boat load of useful features including a new adjustable ZephyrAD ventilation back system, and of course the fact it can carry 10 times it own weight, makes us think it's not a bad trade off.
We would say it's not for those people who are obsessed with weight reduction rather its for those who want a well designed and well featured pack that's also tough enough to survive weeks on the trail without demanding too much by way of careful use.
The feature list is long so I won`t repeat it here - just to say that we especially like the easy to adjust back system and the horizontal zipped base compartment opening with internal zip divider as it makes it easier to separate gear while also offering improved access.
