Montane's Yarara 32 has features that identify it as a climbing pack such as the tool carrying attachment on the front that lends itself to twin axes. Having said that it has useful side stretch pockets a single hipbelt pocket and two further pockets in the lid. So it offers quite a bit of organisation.
The Yarara is the womens version of the Medusa and the adjustments Montane have made include the shape of the shoulder straps, a shorter back length and a womens specific hip belt. There's also twin pockets on the hip belt rather than the gear loop on the Medusa.
There's no frame in the pack but the padding on the back is very thick and will protect the wearer from anything inside its also quite stiff so does provide some support for the load. The hipbelt is decent this will enable it to carry heavier loads consistent with its 32 litre capacity with ease.
Overall its a heavy pack but its very tough and has features that many people will want.
