I am using the previous version but differences are minimal. To begin with, the main compartment is entirely waterproof, so how cool is that. Bouncing became almost unnoticeable once I upgraded the bag with a frame, which is actually a sitmat, that fits perfectly into the (anyways unusable) hydration compartment. At 8 kilo pack weight, and no waistbelt, I did get some sore shoulders after 2 days, but having a waistbelt isn't an option on a running pack. There is an infinite number of "hardpoints" to put on easy-reach items, so I hardly ever need to take the bag off. Opening the waterproof rolltop is rather clumsy, but this isn't an issue, once everything of importance can be carried outside on the hardpoints. Durability is superb.
