Great as a summit pack carrying groceries when on foot or on a bike or as an extra traveling tote. The tiny packed size fits easily onto your key ring in a jacket pocket or a purse.
Sea to Summit says:
Since it's first release in 2008 the Ultra-Sil Daypack has impressed users with it's incredible strength to weight performance. The use of siliconised CORDURA nylon and reinforcing bartacks at stress points enables the Daypack to carry loads 250x it's own weight.
In 2017 the Ultra-Sil Daypack won the prestigious Backpacker Editors Choice Gold Award for outstanding innovation in design, materials and performance. To celebrate we have upgraded the Daypack and brought a new look to the entire Ultra-Sil bag range.
Sea to Summit's Ultra-Sil Day Pack is a superb design, it's amazingly strong - so much so that you don't have to worry about abusing it. This is ideal as an aircraft carry on with minimal weight penalty and you can use it as a stuff sack when you hit the trail.
These days your pack will generally go into the aircraft hold because you will almost certainly have items that are not allowed in the cabin such as a knife, trekking poles, sharp tent pegs etc.. Just in case the bag never reappears I like to take some items as hand luggage - tent sleeping bag sleeping mat etc things that can't be replaced easily at the other end. Using the Ultra-Sil Daypack is the ideal way to do this. All in all you shouldn't be without one.
