The Day Breaker is a simple, stripped back pack that is ideal to day trips into the mountains, every day use or fast and light overnight trips. Several removable parts allow the pack to go even lighter.
Six Moon Designs says:
The Daybreaker is Six Moon Designs take on a clean, simple day pack. We set out to create a pack that was traditional in design but also features more modern, lightweight materials.
The Daybreaker is the result of years of traveling, backpacking, and outdoor adventures. We took the time to think of what we liked and did not like out of the day packs we had been using. The side pockets are a great example of this. They are deep enough to keep your water bottle from falling out when putting your pack in an overhead bin and angled just the right way so you can still reach your bottle while hiking. Hate losing your keys? We do too. That's why we put glove hooks in both zippered pockets. Everything is wet and you need to rest? Just pull out the removable sit-pad and kickback. We just really enjoy this pack and think you will too.
Six Moon Design's Day Breaker Rucksack is a really good pack for a range of activities. It has been well thought through with simple features that work well being the focus. The 210D fabric is tough and durable so other than a little clean every now and again this pack will look good even after regular use. Large, comfortable shoulder straps are ready for action with elasticated drop pockets ready for soft flasks, snacks or a phone. The hipbelt is removable but does help with comfort when balancing a full pack.
All of the pockets are well sized, well positioned and make for a practical bag that's great to use. A foam sitpad is included so you can enjoy a bit of comfort when you stop for a break or you can remove it and leave it at home but it does act as a bit of additional padding when the pack is in use. All of the features you'd expect on a versatile pack are here, from daisy chains to ice axe loops, secure zip pockets to various hydration options. It seems such a simple pack and it is to an extent, but what you get is a no-fuss, highly practical pack you'll use more often than expected.
