The waterproof Mountain Hardwear Rainshadow 36 OutDry pack keeps your gear dry on those all-weather hiking, biking and trekking adventures.
Mountain Hardwear says:
Weather or not. Rainshadow technical backpacks are the right choice for weekend warriors who don’t always have the luxury to wait for the perfect day. This 36L pack has a waterproof main compartment that was rain-room tested so it’s good to go for biking, hiking and trekking when you want to keep your gear safe and dry. And when you do get caught in the rain, stuff your damp layers in the front stash pocket, which features drainage so you’re never bogged down. We even added quick-dry mesh across all contact areas on the shoulder straps and back panel. Also features well-organized pocketing and easy-access hydration compartment.

The Rainshadow 36 is a really versatile pack that offers a huge bonus of keeping everything inside the main compartment completely dry. The large zip top opening offers easy access to the main compartment which is quite roomy and features a small lined internal pocket for securing valuables or items that can get easily scratched. It's important to note that to keep the main compartment waterproof, you need to remember to fold down the waterproof zip cover after each use.
The bag also features a large front stash pocket for storing wet gear, two stretch side pockets for holding water bottles and one separate hydration sleeve at the back for storing a bladder (if you choose to use one). The shoulder straps and back system are nicely padded and really comfortable. It also has a padded waist strap which has two small zip pockets for storing energy bars or anything else you want to get at fast. And for those who like to carry ice axes or trekking poles there's carry loops on the front of the pack so they can be easily attached.
