The Gossamer Gear's Minimalist 24 Daypack is anything but minimalist other than the weight. This feature rich pack is great for everyday use about town or quick trips to the hills.
Gossamer Gear says:
This hard wearing beast of a pack combines an awesome space/weight ratio and comfortable durability suitable for the mountains or the Metro.
Constructed entirely of our custom fabrics this pack is tough but definitely not tender. Stuff all the layers, food and water you need and take this pack on a long day’s journey into whatever mother nature brings. Also fits a laptop, should you ever choose to return to civilization.

The name may minimalist but other than the weight the Gossamer Gear's Minimalist 24 Daypack is anything but. A lot of features are packed into this super light-weight and tough feeling pack.
There are 3 external pockets, 2 side pockets accessible without taking off the pack. Another large pocket is in the front. There is an internal zipped pocket to keep items secure which has a clip for keys and the like. There is a daisy chain on the top of the pack for further storage options.
A feature I don't like is the draw string enclosure meaning rain would soon become a problem. A useful feature is the shock cord compression straps. You also get an adjustable chest strap and air foam on the shoulder straps. There is no back support but you do get a comfy foam back panel.
