Opinel's Outdoor Knife is a high quality knife which shows through it's design the years of experience that Opinel have. The Outdoor Knife is particularly suited to activities in the great outdoors due to it's light weight, robust design and features. The handle features a safety whistle for use in emergencies. A serrated area on the blade allows for tough climbing ropes to be cut and the handle features extra grip to be used with precision in any conditions.

Sandvik 12C27 modify 8.5cm stainless steel blade 2 5 mm thickness for a higher resistance with a serrated area of 3 5cm to cut lasting and effortless natural and synthetic ropes shackle hey (4-10 mm).
Virobloc system to lock the blade in opened or closed position. The emblematic and ergonomic Opinel handle 2 high end plastics resistant to extreme temperatures from -40°C to +80°C and to water grip area pealess whistle (works by any time) built into the handle (110 decibels heard from more than 300m).
Synthetic grip for hanging on a hook / bag / belt.

Our Verdict
Opinel knives are legendary the classic ones have a polished wooden handle but this modern variant is made from durable dual density plastics. It still has the simple but effective locking ferrule whether in the open or closed position - and a whistle in the end.
`Oh no not another whistle` I hear you cry! well since this one is fashioned from the handle it actually removes material from it thus making it lighter - excellent. Sometimes a larger knife is worth carrying as well as a multitool especially if you are going to be preparing food - this one`s only 2oz.
