Fire Maples Orange Gas Lantern is a nice way to light up your campsite as it's reliable and looks good while also using up very light gas.
Fire Maple says:
Transform your leftover old gas canister into an alternative candle for the ambiance with this aesthetically pleasing and comforting lamp.
Many campers prefer the traditional gas lanterns with glass windows for the ambient look. Though they tend to be bulky, hot to the touch and noisy, they put out a bright, warm light that seems to last forever. Gas lanterns offer a key advantage: light intensity. When you need to light up the entire campsite, you can't beat the lumens put out by a gas lantern.
For a medium light the Fire Maple Orange Gas Lantern requires only 4g of gas per hour, and a normal 230g canister can light for up to 56 hours! It's quite compact compared to other gas lanterns, though I'm not sure I would want to use it backpacking as It shouldn't be used inside small, enclosed spaces for safety reasons. Though if I was with a large group and we knew we would all be sitting around outside then it would be ideal.
Peoples main worry with this is that the glass might break when it's in your pack, but Fire maple have provided a solid plastic casing which doe's a good job protecting it so I have no worries about that.
