The Trail Mini Solo is MSR's smallest and lightest ultra pack-efficient cook set for soloists. Ultra compact, lightweight, and durable, ideal for boiling water for minimalist meals.
The size of a large mug, the Trail Mini Solo Cook Set delivers the essentials you need to fuel up—all in a cook kit that’s ridiculously small in your pack. Perfectly sized to make hot water for one pouch meal or a generous cup of coffee, its pot plays double duty as your eat-and-drink vessel. Inside, it nests a PocketRocket 2 stove and 4 oz. MSR fuel canister. Outside, its bowl efficiently adds a second vessel, making this the ultimate space-maximizing cook set for solo minimalists moving fast with a small pack.
We like how simple yet durable the MSR Trail Mini Solo is and that you can pack a whole cooking system no bigger than a large can in to your pack without taking up much space. And if you just decide to pop out for a short walk or out for the day, it's the perfect size for boiling enough water for a dehydrated meal or just a large cup of coffee.
Most pieces can be used for more than one thing so it's pretty versatile. For instance you can use the pot for boiling water as well as eating out of. The lid sits on pretty loose so you will have to be careful with that but it does double up as a strainer which is pretty useful. The bowl/cup that stored on the bottom is a good size and features measuring lines on the inside.
It's important to note that this little cook set does not come with MSR's Pocket Rocket or gas so you will need to purchase those separately, or of course you can just pair it up with another small stove that might fit inside.
