Superior under windy conditions!
Ultimate compact stove
This is a nice set from SOTO and at this price it lends itself well to people starting out with lightweight backpacking.
The Amicus Stove is a great stove for camping and backpacking and it includes many of the features found on their more expensive models including four folding pot stand supports and a recessed burner head that provides superior performance in windy conditions.
When not in use, the pot stand supports and simmer control fold up compactly, making this stove easy to store in the New River pot along with a small gas canister.
SOTO's New River Pot has no frills, it's a simple backpacking pot with a fold away handle. The lid is a nice addition as it has an open section for pouring, draining things or slurping a hot drink from (obligatory disclaimer: make sure you allow boiling hot drinks to cool before drinking). Excellent craftsmanship from SOTO as always.
