Fire Maple's Hard Anodised Aluminium Typhoon Cooking Pot uses a heat exchanger to boost efficiency by upto 30%. Insulated wire handles and snap-on rubberised lid.
Fire Maple says: Using the latest butt joint technology enables the heat exchanger to be fitted to the pot more effectively increasing fuel efficiency by up to 30%.
Fire Maple's Typhoon cooking pot is fitted with a heat exchanger to increase fuel efficiency. Heat exchangers are heavy, but so is fuel, if you assume a 30% improvement in fuel usage though you can expect to save weight on trips of a week or more.
1.0L is a generous capacity for one person so this pot is useful for more complex cooking than just boiling water, with this capacity you could cook for two at a pinch. The pot is sized so that a large gas cartridge can fit inside easily, leaving room at the top for most stoves. The lid clips on to the pot securely so you can keep everything in one place.
The lid is made from a rubberised material, this has a low-ish heat conduction value and so will further help save fuel, especially as its a tight fit. There's a protrusion for your thumb making it easy to get off once you're cooking is complete, but it does get hot so care is required.
Inside the pot has graduation marks at 250ml intervals.
