Fire Maple's Hard Anodised Aluminium Solo Cookset is a simple but polished product. The main pot is 0.8Litres, which is ample for one person, the smaller Pot doubles as a lid.
Fire Maple says: Ultralight and space saving, only 195g, made with hard anodised aluminium which is resistant to wear and easy cleaning.
Fire Maple's Solo Cookset comprises two parts, the main pot is 0.8L and the small pot is about 0.4L and doubles as the lid for the larger pot. Having two pots is a great luxury when flying solo, you can make your meal - then while you're eating it from the pot you can boil up a brew in the other one.
A piece of tinfoil can double as a lid if you want to save a bit more fuel. Aluminium cookpots are heavier than Titanium but they're also a lot cheaper and conduct heat better so your pot delivers the heat more evenly.
The pot is sized to take a large size gas canister and there's room in the inverted small pan to store a stove and bits and pieces. The main pot has 250ml graduations clearly stamped so you can read them inside the pot.
