Optimus have bundled 4 pieces of their cooking kit that are designed to work together into an efficient system that will save fuel.
When it comes to the Elektra FE (Fuel Efficient) cook system, it‘s all in the name: It uses less fuel and at the same time is more powerful than other systems.
The Elektra FE cook system consists of the Crux Lite gas stove, a heat exchange pot with a lid, a convenient clip-on windshield (which reduces gas consumption and boil time) and a handheld piezo ignitor. Due to its compact size the Elektra FE cook system fits easily into a day pack and adds hardly any weight. Set includes: Crux Lite stove with handheld piezo ignitor, Terra Weekend HE Heat Exchange pot, clip-on windshield.
Optimus' Elektra Cookset takes four items of kit from the Optimus Range and bundles them together as a system. This isn't opportunistic on their part because each bit of the system has been designed to work together anyway, so it makes sense to sell them as a bundle.
The key pieces are the heat exchanger pot, the stove and the windshield, with these three items working together you get an efficient system that will save gas. It won't be as efficient as the likes of Jetboil or MSR Reactor, but it is more flexible - the disadvantage of closely coupled systems is that they tend not to be good for simmering - with the Optimus system you can remove the windshield if the heat output of the stove is not low enough for your style of cooking.
