Smidge is a great option for when you are facing the eternal battle of little biting insects when spending time outdoors. With a friendly formula and pleasant application this is one of the best options out there.

Smidge says:

Smidge comes in a practical, robust and lightweight 75ml aluminium pump spray. Thanks to its novel, water and sweat resisting formula it provides powerful, immediate protection for up to 8 hours without re-application.

Smidge's Smidge Insect Repellent Spray has been on the market for years due simply to the fact that it works pretty well. There is no guaranteed, full protection from biting insects but Smidge has built a reputation of doing a good job of it. The DEET free ingredients are a big bonus and I've always found that it does a decent job of keeping the majority of midges away when I have the misfortune of being swarmed by them in Scotland. The smell, taste and feel of this formula works well when compared to many other competitors but as with anything this is not necessarily going to work for everyone.

Didn't Work for Me

I camped at Beinglas last summer and tried Smidge. It worked on first application, but barely lasted 30 mins before the midges started biting. Also, if you get it in your eyes it irritates them for ages because it is very hard to wash it out.
