Effective protection from annoying and disease carrying mosquitoes and other bugs such as flies. The mesh is optimised for ventilation and outward visibility with a drawcord neck with generous length for tucking into collars.
Sea to Summit says:
Eliminate the irritation of mosquitos with this ultra light weight mosquito head net. 60% lighter than our standard head nets and twice as compact, the Nano Mosquito
About the Holes: STS mesh products use ultra-fine mesh that has 80 holes per square cm (around 516 holes per square inch). The WHO recommends a minimum of 156 holes per square inch for mosquito nets and there are many products with 2-300 holes per square inch.
Very lightweight piece of kit that can make a huge difference to comfort and safety - best use is when combined with a wide brimmed hat as per the photo. This Nano version is incredibly light compared with the standard net it will give the same protection but I guess must be less durable.
15D UltraVis light mesh offers great visibility and air flow
Fine, 80 hole/cm² hexagonal mesh
Soft multifilament fibre
Superlight elasticised neck draw cord with cord lock
Weight: 11g (excluding pouch)
Packed size: 7cm long x 2cm diameter

Sea to Summit Nano Mosquito Headnet
Paid a few nickles (shillings?) more than I would have here in the US, but as I was already placing an order, who cares? Advertised as 11g w/o stuff sack; mine weighs 10g. Shaved 11g off my base weight compared to my old head net, for only $12.53! Only a gram weenie would understand. A bit more palatable to say it weighs less than half of what the old one does.
