In competitions where a real shovel is mandatory gear the Crest is the only way to go. The polypropylene blade is not as rigid as other plastic blades to prevent bouncing. The aluminum alloy shaft is contoured for a solid grip and good rigidity. Best of all this handled shovel is almost as light as some models without handles!
Epitomises lightweight design. At just 9oz the Crest snow shovel nevertheless is a tough practical tool that does the job. The handle is aluminium while the blade is polypropylene - so it may struggle with hardened snow - but for general conditions it will enable you to shift snow at a high rate of knots. Our first choice for winter backpacking where you may end up building a snow barrier round the tent.
