A significant update on the classic fast and light boot from Inov8. With added grip, comfort and durability there's even more to love about the versatile Roclite 345 with Gore-Tex lining.

Inov8 says:

Utlizing GORE-TEX product technology, the Roclite 345 GTX delivers the optimal combination of support, climate comfort and protection. The perfect boot for adventure-seekers who are running/trekking in wet and wild conditions and want extra ankle support. Includes graphene grip (G-Grip).

Inov8's Roclite 345 GTX are an improved version of a classic fast and light boot. The use of the G-Grip sole, enhanced with graphene to provide greater grip and durability is certainly welcome as durability was always an issue with grippy soles wearing away relatively quickly. These boots are more like fell shoes than traditional boots so they are really comfortable, flexible and confidence inspiring on technical terrain. The lacing system is lighter and easier to tie and undo than previous versions.

The sole of the these Roclite's is solid enough to give you some protection but flexible enough to increase the amount of grip and comfort on longer days. The added protection of a Gore-Tex lining is helpful in wet UK conditions. Despite some people complaining about overheating and lack of breathability, I've never had any problems and used them throughout an unseasonably warm spring for multi-day trips. Getting the right sock combination makes a huge difference too.

  • Superior traction: Award-winning ROCLITE franchise just got even better with graphene grip (G-Grip) for better traction and increased outsole durability across all terrains, from mud to wet mountain rock and hard-packed trails.
  • Increased flexibility: Boot designed to move with your foot, allowing you to adapt, react and grip on all unpredictable terrain. Boot-cut ensures superb ankle support too.
  • Best in protection: GORE-TEX product technology delivers increased protection and 365-day climate comfort.
  • Go longer: As feet begin to swell on longer adventures, you can gain extra comfort thanks to the ADAPTERWEB upper design which sees the materials adapt to your changing foot shape and natural movements. Upper materials also non-water absorbing.
  • Cushioned ride: Features 8mm drop and a POWERFLOW midsole that gives 10% better shock absorption and 15% better energy return than standard midsoles.

LEJOG + 3 peaks 1200 mile Test

I have walked about 1200 miles in these on my Lands End to John O'Groats trip from 17th February to 19th April 2019. Walking in snow & Ice on Snowdon & Ben Nevis, wet grass, mud & a lot of hard surfaces, roads etc. The boots still have tread for another few hundred miles but the Gortex lining failed after about 300 miles & is now split letting in grit. The boots breath well, are light weight & were perfect for this trip at this time of year but much warmer & I would use a boot without the Gortex liner so my feet would dry better. The inside of the boots have no significant wear & are still comfortable, because of this one of my 2 pairs of socks lasted the whole trip & are still good. I did not need to wear the boots in before setting off as they were so comfortable from the start, walking hundreds of miles without blisters. I am very impressed with the quality.
