The Rush is a versatile mid boot that is ideally suited to light and fast adventures. With a Gore-Tex lining and a combination of features from trail shoes and lightweight boots these are great all-rounders.
Speed and protection merge seamlessly in the Rush, a shoe that strikes the perfect balance between trail running agility and light hiking support. The Rush was designed to handle a variety of fast and light trail objectives, from high mileage days on rugged trails to day hikes to fast-packing, with a modern, technical look enhancing consumer appeal.
Scarpa's Womens Rush Mid GTX combines the stability and grip of traditional mid-boots with the flexibility and feedback of lightweight trail shoes. As usual with Scarpa, the sole is a great place to start with as it provides a good amount of traction across a variety of terrains. The sole is also designed to provide impact absorption but this is a difficult thing to feel and confirm when walking. The low cut gives the feel of a trail shoe and certainly feels comfortable when you are moving at speed.
The Gore-Tex lining works well but water can get into the boot around your ankles with the low cut design. The synthetic upper does dry well after is has been wet which is a good way of getting around the issue of water getting over the top. They are designed with SockFit construction which gives them a comfortable, close feel which works well for moving fast. There is a good amount of support in the heel and sole in general which is good for keeping you comfortable for longer.
