Expedition Foods’ delicious light-weight meals provide the perfect nutrition for a wide range of outdoor pursuits. Freeze-drying food is the most successful method of preservation, making it taste better, look better, weigh less and last longer.
Expedition Foods says:
Chicken and rice with vegetables in a Thai green curry sauce.
Preparation: Remove the oxygen absorber (sachet) from inside the pouch. Slowly add up to 260ml hot water, stirring as you pour and then close the bag. Wait 5-8 minutes for the food to rehydrate.
Cold water will suffice in an emergency, however the re-hydration time is much longer. The oxygen absorber helps maintain product freshness and is non toxic. Do not eat.
Expedition Foods meals have a long shelf life of up to 5 years.

|9.0||MARK'S TASTE TEST - calorie count for Expedition Foods is around the 450mark, just below most others which are typically 550-600calories. If you don’t normally have a starter try a cup-a-soup with crackers to boost the meal. I added 260ml boiling water and resealed the bag – left it wrapped in a down jacket for the full 8 minutes. Tasted absolutely delicious and it has big chunks of chicken in it – not just chicken flavouring – reconstituted well. Tasted like Thai Green Curry but not very strong. The peas hadn’t fully reconstituted but they still tasted like peas just a bit crunchy. Very impressed 9-10.|
|7||STAFF'S TASTE TEST - We all agreed that it didn't taste much like a traditional Thai Green Curry, in fact it didn't have much of a curry taste at all. It looked good but taste wise it was rather bland. Could definitely do with a bit of seasoning. There wasn't a great deal of chicken in the pack but the bits that we did get tasted good. It was mostly dominated by peas which didn't taste bad but wasn't supper exciting either. Still, we would be more than happy to eat it again at the end of a long walk.|
