The Trek'n Eat product range consists of complete meals, vegetarian meals, soups, vegetables and other diverse nutritional items from breakfast to dessert. All that is required to restore the freeze-dried ingredients is hot water.
Trek'N Eat says:
Here you’ll find everything that makes a superb chili: kidney beans, beef and, for that little extra dash of spicy zing, onions. A good chili enlivens the soul in any situation, especially when the weather hasn’t exactly played along with your outdoor adventure plans. Trek’n Eat’s Chili con Carne goes from pouch to plate quickly and is best when served piping hot. It soothes the chill you feel, both outside and inside, plus it satisfies empty tummies and is a secret weapon for warming up cold feet. When it’s especially unpleasant outside, you can pull the Chili con Carne out of your pack like a hidden ace up your sleeve. Of course it can’t be beat on warmer outings too when motivation for a coming adenture needs an extra punch of get-up-and-go.
Trek'N Eat offer unique freeze-dried foods that can be easily prepared with hot water. Of course staff were eager to try these and quickly found that they offered a great 'all natural' taste thanks to the fact they don't add preservatives, colourants, or flavour enhancing additives.
You will probably notice that most Trek'n Eat foods have a high calorie count of around 600 calories per package, this is to cover the increased energy consumption during sports activities. All the meals are packaged in waterproof resealable standing pouches which is ideal for those who might not finish all the food at once and don't want to leave a mess in your rucksack.

|6||STAFF'S TASTE TEST - The Chilli Con Carne was a bit of a disappointment overall for our staff as it is usually a pretty safe meal choice. Despite everyone being happy with the general flavour and texture, some thought there was a burnt taste to it. The use of kidney beans went down well as they reconstituted well. There was enough heat from the spice in the flavour to keep everyone interested too.|
