Summit to Eat says:

When you’re off on an adventure you are often without a few of the comforts of home. One of those is a decent takeaway. Thankfully our amazing Chicken Fried Rice is the next best thing, which makes it the perfect adventure food to perk you up during even the most exhausting of days.

We combine succulent chunks of chicken, corn, peppers, green beans and onion with egg, rice and a fabulously rich teriyaki sauce to create this delicious and nutritious meal that’s certainly one of the best examples of camping food you can find — warming yourself up around the campfire with this freeze-dried camping food can be the perfect way to relax during an evening.

At Summit To Eat, we also know that people’s needs can really vary depending on the scope of their adventure or expedition. That’s why we make sure to offer both standard and larger sized pouches. For shorter trips and excursions, our standard packs are the perfect lightweight meal in any situation, weighing in at just 121g. If your expedition is a little more active and you need more energy to keep going throughout the day, then our larger pouches can be the perfect boost of energy. You get the same high-quality food, just in a larger portion.

Preparing this meal is faster than a takeaway too. Expertly cooked using the freshest ingredients then freeze-dried, all you need to do is simply add water and you can be enjoying a tasty meal in less than 10 minutes. Because we cook our meals first before freeze-drying, every meal tastes great and provides a well-balanced meal on any adventure. Not only is preparation quick, each pouch is packed full of all the valuable carbohydrates and protein you need to rest and recharge before you carry on your adventure.

Summit to Eat offers truly satisfying meals to conquer the largest of appetites and are nutritionally balanced with natural ingredients to fuel any adventure.

They offer a great choice of warming breakfasts, delicious main meals and decadent desserts.

Really tasty

I didn't twig that this would be an Oriental meal when I bought it - for some reason I thought it would be Mexican or something like that - but I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be. In fact, if this had arrived in a plastic container from my local takeaway I probably wouldn't have batted an eyelid - this was probably the nicest camp meal I've had.

Inoffensive calorie replenishment

I quite like this meal because it's quite bland. There are occasions when after a long day I want something totally inoffensive with mild flavours because I'm not feeling that hungry and it's just about replacing calories. The Chicken Fried Rice is perfect for those times. It tastes ok and there are recognisable vegetables and chicken but it will never win awards for flavour. It sounds like damning praise but I always take one of these on multiday walks for that day when I can't face a curry or bolognese.
