Expedition Foods says:

Tasty scrambled eggs, with crunchy diced potato and mixed peppers.

Preparation: REMOVE THE OXYGEN ABSORBER* (Sachet) from inside the pouch. Slowly add up to 180ml hot water, stirring as you pour and then close the bag. Wait 5-8 minutes for the food to rehydrate.

Cold water will suffice, however the re-hydration time is much longer.

* The oxygen absorber helps maintain product freshness and is non toxic. DO NOT EAT.

Testing Freeze Dried meals at Ultralight Outdoor Gear7.5MARK'S TASTE TEST - I was confident amount of water was correct. Stirred and left for 8mins, kept warm. When you open it its dry – all the water was absorbed, It looked like mostly diced potato so I checked the ingredients; it’s 75% diced fried potato, 20% egg, 5% peppers – not surprising then. Wwhen you taste the potato its edible but crunchy. I’ve been putting that down to it not being fully reconstituted, but if its diced fried potato you would expect a crunchy texture . I find it a bit bland so added salt – with salt quite edible, but that depends on personal preference – score 8/10, mainly because what I think because if the potatoes are fried then that explains the crunchy. On the downside its 75% potato – probably settle on 7.5/10.
