These are serious mountaineering sunglasses. The quality is obvious from the start with great looks and a quality lightweight and technical feel. Julbo's Zebra lenses provide excellent protection and there are a number of great additions to these high performance glasses.
The Trek’s mission is simple: to achieve optimum performance while moving fast in extreme environments by providing highly technical, yet lightweight eyewear. For those committed to the outdoors via mountaineering, climbing and trail running, the Trek is the perfect-combination of technical mountaineering principles and lightweight performance ergonomics. Detachable shields block lateral rays from intense glare as well as offer superior ventilation when necessary. Julbo’s Flex Nose design and 360° adjustable temples provide optimum hold. It’s available with either the Cameleon or Zebra lens for optimal visibility and protection against intense sunlight from desert to glacier conditions. Purely Julbo.
Julbo's Trek Zebra 2-4 Mountain Sunglasses have excellent clarity from the Zebra lenses with great peripheral vision. The Category 2-4 lenses are specifically designed for high altitude activities where high levels of protection are needed from visible light, UV light and increased glare but they are still able to deal with changeable conditions.
The ventilation on these glasses is immense with vents in the lenses and side walls reducing the risk of fogging in even the most extreme conditions. The side walls reduce lateral rays and keep out harsh weather but they are also detachable so you can adapt the glasses to suit the conditions. There is further adaptability with a detachable sweat blocker which is excellent for sweaty high intensity activities.
As you would expect with top end kit, these are really comfortable too. The arms of the glasses provide grip but are also fully adjustable so you can shape them to fit your individual head shape which is a rare feature. They also come with a fully adjustable strap to secure the glasses even when stacking on the slopes.
