The Aqua Front Light are pretty well named as light weight, waterproof, front panniers. With a really good attachment system, internal pockets and external compression straps these panniers are great to use day-in, day-out for anything from commuting to serious cycling adventures.
Lightweight ahead! The Aqua Front Light pannier helps lighten your load — because we’ve pared it down to the bare basics. Passionate bike travelers know the routine: you’ve shaved pounds from the weight of your gear — and then have to pack it into a heavy pair of panniers. The Aqua Front Light is here to help with its clever combination of materials. The 2D-welded canvas is thinner, but no less robust than the heavier bags of the Aqua series. Instead of an elaborate compression system, a cargo net is used for quick access to your jacket, an extra shirt or other clothing items you’ll need on the ride.
The Aqua Front Light is not only perfect for bike packing adventures and demanding bike trips, but — in combination with its shoulder strap — also ideal as an accessory for commuters. The Aqua Light pannier is manufactured in Germany without the use of PVC in accordance with the Greenshape 2.0 criteria.
Vaude's Aqua Front Light are a lightweight, waterproof travel solution for anyone after a pair of front panniers. With a simple but effective attachment system the bags can easily be securely clipped into place or released. You get used to this pretty quickly and the panniers can be adjusted to fit different bikes and racks quite easily too. The waterproof material is durable and with the roll top they are capable of coping with serious rain.
There are compression straps to keep the contents from bouncing around inside and they can also act as a place to stash layers when the weather changes. Inside each pannier there is a large main compartment with a big drop pocket and good sized zip pocket for keeping your gear organised. The reflective details on the packs are a useful feature and would be even better if they were a bit larger and more obvious for riding in low light.
