The Trailguide Pack adds an extra 5L of storage for your next bikepacking adventure. The intelligent placement of the pack along the top tube allows easy access to your kit and it's all in a durable, waterproof package.
The Trailguide helped write the book on bikepacking! Attached to the top tube, it is easily accessible and offers space for important accessories and gear that you need easy access to. With a volume of up to 5 liters and a load of 2 kg, it is the perfect puzzle piece for bike packers who want to divide their dear into individual compartments on their bike.
The Trailguide consists of a waterproof bag with roll closure and zip pocket that can also be used as a shoulder bag. It is inserted into a robust, compressible retainer and attached to the top tube with two straps. To prevent it from slipping, the Trailguide is also fixed to the head tube. A Velcro strip on the underside of the pannier ensures that it always stays in place and can’t slip. The Trailguide is made with eco-friendly, water repellent Eco Finish and is manufactured without the use of fluorocarbons (PFC). The VAUDE Green Shape label stands for environmentally-friendly, functional products made from sustainable materials.
Vaude's Trailguide Pack is another great addition to their bikepacking range. With an extra 5L of storage space the Trailguide provides plenty of space for spare layers, foods and other essential items. The fact that it's waterproof and made from pretty tough materials means you can happily store your most important items in there with confidence. The cage and dry bag are separate so you don't have to attach and remove the hole thing each time you need it. With two straps keeping the bag in the cage and three solid straps attaching it to the top tube and head tube can adjust it to secure you gear even on the roughest terrain.
The tarpaulin material feels lightweight but it is much more durable than expected. I'm not the most delicate or careful with kit at the end of some long trips the Vaude packs have all stood up to my punishment pretty well so far. Given that the main cage for the Trailguide is very durable and stays on the bike it's a bonus that you can use pretty much any appropriately sized waterproof bag in it.
