The perfect minimalist wallet for the trail. Ultralight fabric and zippered security makes the Hiker Wallet a justifiable necessity.

Granite Gear says:

Don't you hate it when you go to the trailhead and forget that you still have your bulky wallet full of important yet unecessary items? You still want a credit card and a few quid just in case but can`t justify the extra weight or risk losing your wallet. The Hiker Wallet is a perfect compromise - a minimalist wallet for the trail.

This is really small about the size of a credit card plus about a third - but then again how much do you need - its large enough for a few cards a few notes and some coins. Perfect for our ultralight world!

Durable, useful, unsafe

This is a very good replacement for the old fashioned wallet. Light and durable. I keep two at a time to better organize stuff. The attached carabiner is entirely unsafe because it unlocks all the time, so replace it with something better or keep losing your money.

Nice - but a few mm to short

Perfect for clipping into a backpacks lid's pocket for storing 1 or two credit cards and a few bills. Problems arise trying to squeeze in 3+ credit cards. While one card slips in & out without a hitch, 4+ cards become a veritable struggle to deal with, not per thickness of the stack (room for 8+ cards) but per diagonal geometry compounded by inability to flex stack of cards to facilitate entry/exit. IMO, Granite Gear's designer should have added an additional 3 mm to the wallet's length.
