Scarpa's Women's Proton XT GTX Shoe is a great all rounder. Waterproof, light, tough and supportive makes this footwear suitable for most activities.
The Proton XT GTX is a supportive and highly cushioned shoe ideal for longer distance running, winter training or speed walking.
The Proton XT is the first shoe from Scarpa using the revolutionary Gore-Tex invisible fit technology, which means the membrane is directly laminated to the upper, increasing comfort, reducing seams and increasing drying speed. The synthetic upper is mapped with strategic applications of heat welded PU, giving support without added weight.
The Genetic Max sole is made from Vibram Megagrip and combined with the deep lug pattern gives great traction on mixed terrain. The dual density EVA midsole has two low density EVA cushioning pads for impact absorption, and an ESS shank in the middle offers improved anti-torsion control.
The proton XT has a 24mm heel height and 16mm at the tow, with an 8mm drop for all day comfort.
Scarpa's Women's Proton XT GTX Shoe is a great crossover shoe suitable for a range of activities. Light enough for running, supportive enough for long distances and sturdy enough for tough terrain its a shoe that can do it all. There is a surprising amount of comfortable support for such a low weight.
The tread has big lugs to give you traction on mud. The Vibram Megagrip rubber means you can trust your feet on slippy rock. Brand new Gore-Tex Invisible fit technology keeps your feet dry and with the direct lamination weight is saved and drying times are reduced. I have worn my pair for a few short walks and found them to very breathable.
