The Rebel Lite is designed for the mountains. These boots are perfect for getting you to the top whether you are walking, scrambling, climbing or throwing on some crampons. A comfortable and surprisingly light boot that is able to tackle demanding terrain confidently.

Scarpa’s Rebel line has been evolving with the design input of Ueli Steck. The Rebel Lite offers the DNA of Scarpa’s top climbing boots in a lighter form and is perfect for the consumer looking for a hybrid boot that will not only walk well but also climb, scramble, via Ferrata and take the occasional use of crampons for a summit dash or glacier crossing.
There are 3 distinct features to the Rebel family -
The Rebel Lite is GTX lined and the outsole is a new Vibram Mulaz which offers an improved cleating depth in all zones of the sole.
Its TPU crampon ledge allows the use of a new matic style binding (this boots does stretch the traditional thinking behind a conventional B2 boot classification given the boots apparent softness, however it has been extensively tested by guides in the Dolomites and by Brian hall in a New Zealand winter). The add a flex bar to a pair of Grivel Air Tech new matic for example makes a great combination or use a classic C1 rated crampon like the Grivel G10 NC

Scarpa's Rebel Lite GTX is a great boot. It has taken the place of previous favourites when heading into the mountains. The stiffness means that it isn't designed for basic paths and trails but comes into it's own when heading up into more technical terrain.
A full Gore-Tex lining means that these boots can stand up to the usual British weather with ease. The Sock-Fit design makes these really comfortable to put on and there is additional padding around the ankle which made a huge difference on those long descents. With a smart design and extended rubber around the toes these look like durable and I', eager to see how they perform through the winter.
The grippy Vibram sole works well on mud and wet rocks and it is rated at B2 so stiff enough for use with crampons while the Flex-Point allows movement with support for your ankles. This combination make the boots really comfortable for all day use in demanding conditions.
