The Nimbus Jacket is a lightweight, quick drying, featherless synthetic insulated jacket with a Pertex Quantum shell. Designed as a technical all-rounder, perfect for climbing and winter walking in cold damp environments.
Cirrus™ is a new, breakthrough insulation which combines almost all the key benefits of natural down and synthetic fillings, whilst avoiding their limitations.
Key technical features include an over or under helmet hood for climbing use, a Pertex® Quantum® outer fabric and YKK® zips throughout. The Nimbus Jacket is designed as an all-round cold weather piece, yet the technical feature set offers the flexibility of using the jacket as a winter climbing and belay jacket.

The Nimbus Jacket is a similar jacket to the Nebula jacket but has a different Pertex outer shell. The Nimbus has a Pertex Quantum shell that has a water resistant DWR coating where as the Nebula has a Pertex Endurance outer which will repel water up to 1,000mm. This makes the Nimbus jacket a lot lighter in weight.
The Rab Nimbus Jacket is perfect as a winter climbing and belay jacket as it's insulated with Cirrus powered by 3M featherless insulation which closely mimics the look and performance of down while maintaining its warmth, even when wet. The stitch-through baffle construction ensures that the moisture-repelling insulation doesn't spread or bunch, preventing cold spots from forming.
The Nimbus Jacket has great technical features such as elasticated lycra cuffs, an adjustable hem cord and a helmet compatible hood which can be worn under or over a helmet with a lycra binding. The jacket also has plenty of storage pockets with 1 zipped internal security pocket for handy essentials and 2 large zipped hand warmer pockets. The left side pocket also doubles as an integrated stuff sack for increased packability.
