Mountain Hardwear says:
A high-loft down jacket that’s incredibly warm and astoundingly packable. The Phantom Hooded Down Jacket boasts Q.Shield™ DOWN 850-fill insulation, which resists moisture and retains critical loft even in damp conditions for consistent, dependable warmth. Baffled construction to eliminate cold spots and compressible enough to stuff into its own pocket for easy packing.
Mountain Hardwear's Phantom Hooded Down Jacket feels nice, soft and instantly warm. The 180g of 850+ Fill Power Nikwax Hydrophobic Down means that this jacket has a good level of warmth and is still able to be effective in damp conditions. With the baffled design the jacket has a good, even warmth and the adjustable hem and hood mean that there no cold spots, that I've noticed so far.
This certainly isn't the lightest down jacket even with the amount of down but it has a number of additional features that I think make up for this when you wear it regularly. First and foremost is the 'Butter Jersey' cuffs which are an extra layer of stretchy cuff within the elasticated jacket cuff that prevents any cold air and moisture from getting in. Then there are the two huge zipped hand pockets, an internal chest pocket and two large stretchy mesh pocket on the inside too to stow gloves or even keep your climbing shoes warm.
