Marmot's Featherless Jacket is constructed using 3M Thinsulate insulation - an innovative down alternative. It looks, acts and feels like down, even working when wet. Now updated with Recycled fabrics.
Marmot says:
The lightweight Men's Featherless Jacket features 3M™ Thinsulate™ Recycled Featherless Insulation that is made with 75% recycled loose-fill fibers that feel just as warm as 700 fill power down, but still perform in wet conditions. This insulated jacket is Zippin™ Compatible, so it can be paired with select Marmot jackets for additional warmth and weather protection. This space-saving jacket stuffs into its own pocket to reduce space in your pack or suitcase.
The big news here is the insulation. After 2 years of development, Marmot have created the next generation of synthetic insulation. The Featherless Jacket is scientifically engineered with 3M Thinsulate to replace natural down. It looks like down and acts like down but while traditional down loses warmth when wet, the Featherless keeps on performing.
There's a pull drawcord on the hem and both the cuffs and hem have an elasticated binding. The jacket has 3 pockets in total - two hand warmer pockets and 1 internal storage pocket. Overall a great looking jacket that will keep you warm even when wet.
This newest version of the Featherless Hoody has been updated with 100% recycled nylon double mini ripstop fabric. It's good to see more brands thinking about the environment.
