The Montane Volt Shirt is a technical fleece that provides excellent warmth-for-weight value. The honeycomb fabric is comfortable to wear and durable.
ZONED YEAR ROUND FLEECE PULL ON
Following in the footsteps of the exceptionally popular Volt Jacket the Volt Shirt has been created as a rework of the classic ½ zip microfleece.
Featuring the same fabric-zoned concept and high quality finish as the Volt Jacket it works exceptionally well as a warm and comfortable mid-weight mid-layer fleece.

Thermal Pro has excellent warmth to weight ratio so this Montane smock is going to be among the warmest fleeces for this weight. As a rule for backpacking fleece is quite heavy, to carry better options are Primaloft or Down insulated garments - but fleece is more comfortable and easier to wear if you`re buying for travel `by any means`.
Styling is brilliant and the face of the fabric has a faint honeycomb pattern which is - frankly - attractive! One pocket has two zip pulls so you can pull up or down for closure there are two opposing pullers which allow you to vary the position of the opening.
I`ve now been wearing mine virtually constantly for 3 or 4 months - I really like it because the stretch panels down the sides provide only slightly less warmth than the rest of the jacket - some bi fabric garments can have cold spots where the fabrics aren`t well matched.
