Our Verdict
Ridgerest has always been the premium choice closed cell foam mat because unlike a smooth mat it has ridges which increase its insulating properties. Now improved for 2011 with a silvered surface to improve the insulation value further.
As with all closed cell foam mats it can be cut to the desired size to further reduce unecessary weight.
