With an incredibly low weight this model is ideal for adventure racers who are looking for the ultimate in low weight tents. It's tiny pack size means it fits in most panniers. The Laser Ultra 1 is compatible with the Terra Nova FASTPACK system, allowing those who want to trim weight further when conditions permit, to use the flysheet and the fastpack groundsheet which is available separately.

Supplied with this Laser tent you will get an extra black pole hood and guy lines. This is sometimes already attached to the tent or supplied in an extra mesh stuff sack. The benefit to using this is that it offers greater weather and UV protection on the main pole seam along with increased stability.
NOTE: This product is made from our superlight and strong waterproof ULTRA fabric. The lightweight nature of this fabric can cause unique patterns and inconsistency in its colour and shade. This is perfectly normal and does not aff ect the performance of the product in any way.
Our Verdict
This is an astonishing tent, the design is a classic, the fabric is absolutely cutting edge. Its translucent so be prepared for that, also the fabric has natural markings which are normal and not faults, but all this appearance fails to hint at its strength - which is comparable to tents twice its weight.
If this is the type of tent you are looking for - and you can afford it - its the lightest choice and you should have no durability worries for 3 season camping.

The hugely successful range of Laser tents sees some key feature upgrades for Spring 2011 to keep these models at the leading edge of tent design.

1. Folding Poles
For 2011 the Carbon Fibre poles fold into two parts which results in a greatly reduced packed length for the following models: Laser Ultra 1, Laser Photon 1, Laser Photon 2, Laser Competition 1, Laser Competition 2.

2. Innovative Ventilation
There are already various ways you can increase ventilation on the Laser range of models , but the designers have added extra options at each end of the Laser tents for 2011. There is already a innovative roll up system on the Laser Competition 2 but other models in the range now run with a less sophisticated, but lighter version for 2011.
At each end of the tent (by the carbon poles) there is now a simple elastic and toggle roll up system on the flysheet that allows a huge amount of extra ventilation without compromising poor weather performance or weight. This applies to the following models: Laser Ultra 1, Laser Photon 1, Laser Photon 2, Laser Competition 1.

3. Extra guy Points
As more and more people are pushing the boundaries of use of the Laser models, we have added 2 extra guy points to the ends of some of the Laser range. This was already specified on the Laser Completion 2 and allows the user to get an even better pitch in poor weather. Note extra pegs and guyline are required. This applies to the following models: Laser Photon 1, Laser Photon 2, Laser Competition 1.
