Terra Nova Bothy Bags and Superlite Bothy Bags
Bothy bags use ripstop nylon to create a windproof, highly water resistant and very strong shelter.
Bothy bags are increasingly used by mountain rescue teams, outdoor centres and youth groups as emergency shelters and should be always be in the bottom of your rucksack. They create a surprisingly warm and sheltered environment in use and are ideal for lunch stops or accidents. Terra Nova Bothies have allowed their occupants to wait out storms from an hour to a week long in hostile conditions.
Clear windows reduce the feeling of claustrophobia and durable waterproof seats stop your bum getting wet. A roof attachment allows a walking pole to act as a support to help keep the fabric away from your head.
By using our Superlite fabrics, and removing any unnecessary extras like windows and pole 'sockets' we have reduced both the weight and pack size. Whats more these Superlite models will compress even smaller, giving extra pack space for you other kit.
